Has anyone wrote that as yet?.I only use books to stand on in order to reach the top of the wardrobe.Or to throw at cats outside the window at night.I get a lot of enjoyment from those books .The cats seem to dislike them though .
ABOUT ME

I like to think I am loyal and trustworthy with a good heart . But what the hell would I know . I am a very complex person . I put myself into the shoes of the subject I am writing about . And so sometimes it is hard to be yourself .Especially with poetry , You have all these different passions and emotions running through you at once .

Hello Bobby, Sorry to reply that late, I've been busy, had some social commitments, family on top of much work. I'm glad my tips assist you, that's what friends are for. have a good pal and do well. Haim
Hello Bobby, By God I didn't well I know glad to know you were before me. I've recalled what I've forgotten, it's distilled turpentine (don't ever use the commercial one, which is much cheaper, but it would darken your paintings, and that's just the tip of the iceberg! Keep in touch and all the best. Haim
Thanks so much Bobby it's a pleasant surprise, as for the avatar, it's the one I use on gather.com. I tried to upload it and that's how it reached our site archives. I wish you luck better than mine, you deserve it. See you Haim
Hello Bobby, I like your 'Scottish going pottish' much more the creation than it's title. It's a real good one. Still life is a good idea. As far as I know all art schools start with still life before anything, for it teaches to use his imagination in creating a good composition and expressing his ideas and thought at the same time. Another good idea is combining still life with a landscape as a background. The French Delacroix, did amazing painting of this kind. I must admit I too realized that I express myself better and easier in writing, but I miss painting and I keep drawing from time to time. Well, I wish good luck mate, do well. Haim
You did a very good job with that photo and I liked it. thanks for the detailed explanation; I'm glad to learn about you paintings. I did use acrylic and I've some tips for from my own experience. Acrylic except it's huge advantage of being a water soluble and drying in half an hour, has one major disadvantage, it's dull when it dries up. I used methods to solve this problem (for it's the toughest paint) first one was to use it as a basis for an oil painting - start with acrylic and put the last touches with oil. sometimes even just with a wash of raw sienna and varnish diluted with (my God I forgot its name) what you dilute oil paint but never use the cheap commercial one! But use only the distilled one!
The second method was to mix diluted acrylic with gouache colors, it comes rich as an oil painting. Gouache gives it its richness.
Well wish you luck mate and I'll be waiting with patience don't worry to the results.
Don't you underestimate yourself mate, I've learned right now a new English word thanks to you. Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy my images, I enjoy your poems so we're quit, aren't we?
